Project - Graphic Design

I took my project class in the first 5 weeks, so by the end of the semester I wouldn't be full of work to do.........well, not this one! ....I was surprised about the "easiness" os the class.

All we had to do, was to take 10x10 illustration boards and then make different designs with four strips of black paper. The only rule is that whatever you do to one strip, you have to do the same thing to rest of them. So if I cut little poka dots in one, I'd have to do the same thing to the others.

At the beggining it was kind of confusing to understand what he wanted, because in my opinion, he is the type of teacher that knows a lot, but has trouble to pass it on. ... so when I finally understood what the project was about, It was easy to do it ....well, at least the first 7 or 8 were....but when your doing 21, the ideas begin to fade out.

So this was the only project we did there....21 panels with 4 strips glued in each one .... the only big challange was to glue the strips without making a mess with the Sobo Glue (that was required). The glue dries so fast, and if you missed 1/4 of an inch, he would know, because it would be enough to make a mess. (I found out that craft is one of the major things that they look at in your portfolio if you're trying to get into graphi design).

The class was very relaxing...almost like therapy... and the instructor (Matt Woolman) which is one of the big guys in graphic desing, was really nice and patient.

Even though it could be more demanding, I enjoyed being in that class.

I'm amazed at how well you speak and write English. If I tried to go to Brazil and speak and write Portugese I would be completely lost. Nice designs. It does look really neat and clean. Meganck's was a good class for teaching me good craft.
